Deborah Ann "Debbie" Gibson (born August 31, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter who was a teen pop icon. She was popular in the late 1980s and the early 1990s. At the age of 17, Gibson was the youngest female to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 # 1 hit single (in the USA) with her song "Foolish Beat"
